About Selank
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, structurally related to tuftsin — a naturally occurring immunomodulatory tetrapeptide — with an extended amino-acid sequence. Selank's research interest centres on proposed effects on neurotransmitter and neurotrophic signalling that are distinct from tuftsin's classical immune-related activity.
Like Semax, Selank has a notable country-specific clinical history: a Selank-containing nasal-spray medication is registered and used in Russia for certain anxiety-related applications, developed by the same research group and under the same national medical regulation. This regulatory history is specific to that licensed product and jurisdiction — it does not mean Selank is an approved medicine in the UK, the EU, or the United States, and this research-use product is not that licensed pharmaceutical.
Selank has been studied in connection with GABAergic signalling and BDNF-related neurotrophic pathways. Reliable Research Labs supplies Selank as a 5 mg vial of lyophilised powder, tested to ≥99.8% purity by HPLC analysis, strictly for qualified laboratory research.
